My January Favorites

FEB 02

One word to sum up January? Refreshed. This past month felt like such a renewal. I feel more inspired coming off the last few weeks than I have in some time. It definitely took me a bit to get back into the swing of things after the holidays, but it’s safe to say I feel so excited to see all the new things this year brings. Starting with a few favorites from January:

I’ve always had rough, dry skin. It’s something that I’ve dealt with my whole life and something I’m still trying to combat, especially in the winter months. The Fresh Floral Recovery Calming Mask is like a reset for your skin. I apply this after my nightly routine and leave it on overnight. The next morning I can visibly see a difference in the overall tone and texture of my skin. Balancing out that redness and irritation that naturally occurs with dry skin. The overall texture in my face did decrease, leaving a smooth feeling and appearance to my skin. This has become a staple in my skincare drawer as I use it 2-3 times a week in combination with my other hydrating skin moisturizers and masks!

I love this necklace combo! The chains are separate, which I love. I’m not the biggest fan of double or triple chain necklaces. I love the look of each of these on their own as much as I love the look of them together. Looks high end and is double sided- one side has a one letter initial on and a heart on the other, so it can be worn as two different necklaces. It can also be on your doorstep in two days through Amazon, who doesn’t love that? The favorite of the favorites.

I did not realize how much I needed a shampoo brush until I tried this. I had seen these a few times on TikTok on those “get unready with me” videos and I became curious so I ordered one. And wow, I’m so glad I did! This not only feels great to use but, the silicone bristles breakdown built up product on the scalp and help the shampoo create a rich lather. I usually go 4 or 5 days without washing my hair, as I get it colored every few months, so the shampoo brush really helps clean and refresh the hair at the root.

I’ve always been a cozy socks person. With the weather being so cold and overcast lately, I’ve been reaching for these constantly. I love the waffle detailing and the array of colors in each pack. I also love these GOLDTOE socks from Amazon!

I had been looking for that pair of clean white shoes for quite sometime now, and I’m happy to say that I’ve found them! They are SO comfortable and need no breaking in. I’ve been wearing these nonstop as they go with everything. I love the “slip-on” look, so I like to keep the laces tucked with these. Can’t recommend them enough.

A piece that I absolutely adore. This Hart Jewelry Charm Bracelet is one addition I can’t get enough of. Personalizing the piece with the gold plated charms was so much fun! They had an array of charms to choose from such as numbers, symbols, sayings, and more. Hart Jewelry is a local shop here in Charleston owned by Charleston native Hart Hagerty. I love her story as well as so many of her pieces. I can’t wait to add more charms to my bracelet!

To add more body and volume to my hair I’ve been reaching for this product. You need a small amount, I like to use about a nickel size amount for my hair, if you use too much you’ll have that third day hair feeling- gritty but great for styling. Perfect if you’re looking to have a bit more thickness. The price is wonderful too!

One of my favorite pieces from the Studio McGee x Target Spring 2023 launch is this landscape framed canvas which I also mentioned in my New Year Home Refresh post. The antique looking frame adds a sense of character and age. I love the rich tones and light pastels mixed together to create this scenic piece.
