Once the Christmas tree has been put away and all the decorations are packed up until next December, your house can feel a little less cheerful. The holiday hangover is very real. Coming off summer we go straight into Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course, Christmas. Going from a full festive season to back to your pre-holiday norm can make your space feel a little empty and not as exciting to be in as before. Combat the post-holiday blues by refreshing your space with a few new pieces for the upcoming spring season.

One of the easiest ways to spruce up your living space after the holidays is to add a new cozy accent. I love this textured throw from Crate and Barrel.
The new Spring 2023 line for Studio McGee and Target just released with such sweet pieces. One of my favorites is this landscape canvas. The earthy tones mixed with the high contrast of the pastels has me looking forward to the upcoming season.

Another simple addition you can make to your space is adding in a new throw pillow. I like to get most of my throws and decorative pillows from Etsy as there’s just SO many great small shops to choose from.
I’m SUCH a table lamp person. I prefer table lamps over most forms of lighting, but in some spaces a floor lamp is necessary and can make such a fun statement. I love the funky shape and crisp tone of this one from Anthro!

The Brandt chair from All Modern is one of my favorites. If you’re like me, I have to move around a bit of furniture to make way for our Christmas tree. Well, after the tree was put away this year we have been looking to update a few pieces around our living space (easier to see that it’s needed once it is removed from the room), and I think this swivel chair is too perfect to not be considered.
Another piece from the 2023 Studio McGee & Target line is this marble decorative object. Great to fill in space where it may feel a bit empty, this modern touch looks high end at an affordable price point.

A few other ways to to give your space a bit more zest after the holiday season:
-Grab some fresh flowers and disperse them all over the house to get you looking forward to spring! ( & who doesn’t love fresh flowers?)
-Declutter! Yes, spring cleaning and getting those extra “things” out of your home alone can make such a difference. Take stock and get organized. You will thank yourself later
-Bring the outdoors in with some new plants & greenery
-CANDLES. Ugh, one of my favorite things to do to set the seasonal mood is to light a candle that captures the scent of warmer days
-Rearrange furniture. To play off adding or updating furniture, give your space a new look with a simple change of scenery
