After a busy holiday week, it feels great to slow down this weekend and take a breather. For the 4th I ventured up to our family’s beach house in Oak Island, NC for a quick getaway with our family and friends. The 4th of July is such a fun holiday and has some of the best food! I’m still eating leftover watermelon and homegrown tomatoes. Friday I did a bit of countertop shopping for our kitchen and fell in love with a few marble slabs that would look great in our kitchen (and our bathroom, oops!). I’m still on the hunt for that perfect slab and have a few more places in mind to browse. Things are in motion for the kitchen reno and it feels great!
