Spring Home Accents

2.28.23

The warmer weather is now upon us here in Charleston and it feels like it is here to stay! Throughout the month of February I had different bouquets of flowers around the house. A touch of color and life to get us through the the colder weeks we had left. A light at the end of the tunnel, if you will. Spring in Charleston, while it is a short period of time, is my absolute favorite time of year. The weather is perfect- not too hot with a steady breeze throughout the day. Again, this time of year does not last long by any means, so I’m sure to enjoy it when it arrives. I’m always looking to reflect the elements outside my home in my home, and for this season I rounded up a few pieces you can place throughout your space to bring in that spring feeling.

This block print tablecloth from McGee & Co. is perfect for that spring tablescape. A floral pattern with a pastel hues make a great base for layering Easter dinnerware as well as tabletop decor.

One of my favorite pieces to add to a console table or dining table are taper candles. This set of acacia wood candle holders bring in a contrast with the warmer, light wood tone and a mid-century feel with its overall design. Adds height and dimension to any space it sits on.

Bring the flowers into your space through the form of a coffee table book! With its bold colors, beautiful floral photographs, and stunning cover, this coffee table book is sure to be a conversation starter and a piece of art itself.

When design and functionality meet it can be a beautiful thing. This woven cube from Studio McGee x Target can be used in a variety of ways. From putting your feet up to acting as a small table, the natural texture with the checkered pattern design makes this cube a great accent piece to have around the home. Also a great price!

A decorative bowl is one of my staple pieces of decor- again when practicality meets stunning design, I’m all in. This bowl can serve as a catch all surface, hold decorative objects, or act as a piece all on its own. The terracotta tone works perfectly year round and its scallop like edges are so fun!
