It’s that time of year! Time to make your space ready for spooky season. For me, there has always been a fine line drawn in the sand when it comes to Halloween decor. While I enjoy the pumpkins and the bats, I think there is a more elegant approach to selecting and styling these pieces that can last for years to come.
While I enjoy a more timeless feel for all holidays, I like to add in a pop of color here and there and carry that theme throughout the home. In my home this year that color is plum! The deep hue is great for the entire autumn season. If you’re not too into the colors of Halloween and want a more neutral approach to the seasonal decor, amongst your own photos, add a black and white picture of your favorite villain to your gallery wall. This makes for the perfect amount of spooky detail around the home without feeling too over the top. I love this photo of the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz.
