My Summer 2022 Reading List

25 June

If there is one thing that makes me feel like summer is officially upon us: a good beach read. I am a huge seasonal reader. I will put off books until the weather in the novel reflects that of my own. Summer reads give the perfect excuse to ditch cutting the grass to head to the beach or the book store to dive into: a romance by the sea, a light mystery, or a historical fiction. I’m pretty active on my goodreads account, so feel free to add me and let’s be friends! 🙂

Here are a few books that I am looking forward to getting to this summer:

SUMMER OF ’69 by Elin Hilderbrand; A family drama taking place in the 60’s in the coastal town of Nantucket.

THE SUMMER OF BROKEN RULES by K. L. Walther; Young Adult summer romance in Martha’s Vineyard.

THE SUMMER I TURNED PRETTY by Jenny Han; A friends to lovers read following Belly during the one summer that changes everything.

THE NEWCOMER by Mary Kay Andrews; A murder mystery that retreats to a costal Florida beach town.

IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER by Tessa Bailey; Inspired by Schitts Creek character, Alexis Rose, our character Piper is sent to a Pacific Northwest beach town after being cut off from her wealthy family.

WINTER IN PARADISE by Elin Hilderbrand; After Irene learns about her husband’s tragic death, she heads to the tropical island of St. John to learn the details of his accident, only to learn that he also had a secret second family.

FAMILY OF LIARS by E. Lockhart; The prequel to We Were Liars, we learn about another generation of the Sinclairs and the secrets that shaped the family for years to come.
