Smock It to Ya!

07.25.25

Smocked pieces have been everywhere this summer and I *love* it. There is a sense of comfort that extra material and stretch brings while still adding interest to the outfit. Not to mention I can often skip wearing a bra with a tight smocked dress, so it’s a win-win! One of my favorite brands that knows how to do timeless smocking is of course, Hill House. The classic nap dress that took the world by storm has that perfect smocked bodice. This Kimmy Nap Dress pattern is a favorite, I think the vertical stripes are very flattering. I ordered it as soon as I saw it was over 50% off!

This boatneck smocked top comes in a beautiful burnt orange color that would be great for fall.

A vibrant red dress is always a yes for me– such a flattering shape!

Very few sizes left in this olive Ellie Nap Dress– I love the light green stitching on the bust.

I’m still loving butter yellow, such a versatile color, and this smocked top with a ruffle hem is precious.

A simply sweet black, smocked mini dress for under $20. I also adore the light blue.

These olive green, cotton smocked shorts look so flowly and comfortable- perfect for this heat.

How cute is this smocked set from Hill House?! I love the scoop neckline on the top and the elastic waistband on the skirt!

A great dupe for the Ellie Hill House Nap dress!

This cream and olive floral smocked top can be dressed up or down, but looks so effortlessly stylish.

A blue and white striped dress always has a place in my closet, especially with the puff sleeve detailing!
