Design Spotlight: Faux & Dried Florals

07.28.23

Faux florals are some of the best investment styling pieces you can make for your home. One thing that never goes out of style are timeless flowers. I’ve always been pretty picky when it comes to selecting floral stems. Some stems can look overly fake: exposed glue between the bud and the stem, papery material, transparent leaves, etc. You want to find a good medium between price, color, texture, and material. Another type of plant I like to use to style are dried florals and dried greenery. The texture and tone of these are always so beautiful. I personally like to use my own florals for this at the end of the summer and dry them out, but there are plenty of places you can find great quality dried florals. One of my favorite shops to browse faux stems and dried florals is on Afloral. They have such a great selection for year round and seasonal stems. They also have great planters and vase too!

I love these Plum Cimicifuga Ramosa Foliage stems– the deep purple and volume of these are so striking!

These Maple stems from Amazon adds a pop color and contrast to your fall decor.

For added height in an arrangement these Navy Thistle Stems are a great option with their spiky texture!

These Weeping Willow Eucalyptus Preserves have such a rich color and can bring a breath of life to your tablescape.

My favorite purchase from Amazon this month are these faux tulips– 30 stems for under $20!

A couple of dried grass bunches like these can add so much visual appeal to any space.
