I feel like it’s so difficult to find quality, affordable bedding that looks good and feels good. I’ve always been drawn to more is more when it comes to bed linens. For a bed to look as cozy as a cloud- that’s what I want every night I go to sleep. And that’s exactly what I got when I layered up some of my favorite pieces from the Casaluna Bedding Collection from Target.
On my Target runs I have always noticed the Casaluna displayed at Target. With it’s aesthetically pleasing muted tones and minimalistic feel, the product was serene to look at alone. I first got the Casaluna Heavyweight Linen Blend Duvet Cover Set for our guest bedroom. I was still deciding on what I was wanting to do for our primary bedroom, but our guest room felt more like a clean slate and since we don’t host people at our home all the time, it just made sense to try out an affordable bedding option. I was already impressed with the texture on the duvet cover- it’s two sided with a linen blend material on top and a soft cotton fabric underneath, which makes the cover more breathable and comfortable. We have the matching shams as well, however with how I style my bed I don’t personally use the matching shams but they are just as soft and luxurious feeling as the duvet cover!
In addition to getting the duvet cover set, I also got the Clipped Textured Quilt in natural for our guest bedroom; to place under the duvet cover and on top of the sheets. Again, more is more for me when it comes to bedding and I welcome all the layers! I love the design and feel of this quilt, adding texture and extra softness with it’s clipped pattern.
We ended up loving the feel of the duvet cover so much in our guest room that we got it for our primary bedroom as well! I got the color white- again with wanting my bedding to feel and look like a cloud, and with having dogs I have to wash it about once a week. The duvet cover has held up well in the washer and dryer, getting softer and more cozy with every wash. I do like to wash the cover by itself on delicate to ensure the linen blend will hold up well and so far it really has! We also got the Heavy Weight Linen Blend Quilt for our bed, again to place above the sheets and under the duvet. I love the classic block quilt pattern and it’s so very soft. I do think the name “Heavy Weight” is a bit misleading- I have felt much heavier quilts before, I would say this one is on the lighter to midweight range as far as heaviness. We went for the color natural for the quilt as well. For the duvet insert we opted for the Casaluna Mid Weight Down Blend Comforter. I run hot when I sleep while Jordan runs cold, and this works really well for the both of us.
Overall, I have to say that I’m really impressed with the quality, comfort, and design of the Casaluna products, especially at the price point. Having an affordable luxury feel bedding option is a big deal. Most brands with similar feeling products costs upwards of $300-$400 for the duvet cover alone, almost three times the costs of Casaluna. You definitely get what you pay for and more with the Casaluna products. I’m looking forward to trying out more from their brand- towels, throw blankets, and even candles!
