In my opinion, every space needs to have that grounding color. These are usually darker tones like olive, black, brown, olive, etc. For me, I gravitate towards deep blues when wanting to create that high dimension and sense of establishment. Dark blue is a very traditional feeling tone, but mixed with modern designs and patterns it can be used outside that traditional realm. I like to use my grounding colors in textiles such as rugs, pillows, curtains, etc. Creating that warm, moody feeling that I love in so many spaces.
